Revenge in the Dark Jungle: The Ticklish Cliff

April 17, 2011

The Dirty Hairy escarpment is covered with hair-like spines that offer hand- and foot-holds for you to climb down, but they are rather greasy.  Further complicating your descent is that the sharp spines move and jut as you approach and grab them, as if you were tickling the cliff like a bug crawling down an ogre’s back.

(Failed Dexterity saving roll)

You lose your grip and fall off the cliff.

(Successful Luck saving roll)

Fortunately, a spine is there to catch you.  Unfortunately, it impales your shoulder. (3 damage to Constitution, now 8 Constitution)  You remove the spine and continue climbing down.

(Failed Dexterity saving roll)

You lose your grip again.

(Successful Luck saving roll)

Fortunately, a spine is there to catch you.  Unfortunately, it impales your thigh. (6 damage to Constitution, now 2 Constitution)  You remove the spine and continue climbing down.

(Successful Dexterity saving roll)

Finally, you get the hang of a technique for safely descending and make it alive to the base of the escarpment.

You search for the trail of the Bat war party…

(Successful Luck saving roll)

You determine that you are still 1 day behind them.  Battered and bloodied from the descent down Dirty Hairy, you would like to rest and heal, but there is no time.   You must catch up to the war party before they reach their tribal territory within a day or two.

Which shortcut do you choose?

Through the Valley of Flowers
…or…
Through the territory of Giant Daddy Longlegs

All are welcome to participate in this adventure.  Just indicate in the comments which course of action you’d like to see followed.  Optionally, you can provide a semi-relevant movie quote and a bonus will be granted to the character’s rolls.  Check out the previous posts about Revenge in the Dark Jungle.

Ugh, down to our last few points of CON. Nobody gave our hero healing draughts for this expedition?

Anyway (or “Anyways” as my goofy younger brother says), if I’m gonna checkout I want to checkout seeing large Grand Daddy Longlegs. There’s plenty of deadly flowers out back in the garden.

Grazie Nathalie

In case your insurance covers the damage caused by any of the disaster then your agent will tell you when an adjuster will get in touch with you. Remember that you should list damage and take photos or videotape as you start drying out the property.
